The Irish setter is the aristocrat under the setters. This beautiful-looking kastanie-coloured hunting dog is estimated due to his beauty, his friendly nature required by the standard and its hunting usability enthusiasts and hunters alike.The Irish Red setter is a breed that show excellence perfomance in the field, which convinces, excellent prostate manners, and that shows also the entries in the German use dog breeding book - meets all requirements of a hunting helper.

 

So he calls by its owner that he offers him the opportunity for appropriate training, to be able to implement the learned stuff  into the  practice. Only a dog that gets the opportunity to work, will convince also with balanced and pleasant nature.

This gentle dog, whose gives you an aristocratic and intelligent impression with his dark eyes, is a dog that can be held easily in the home and the family conceiving. A dog that blends with a matter of course in the domestic community and may be called pleasant housemate.

The Irish setter is not servile and occasionally has his own ideas. In many dog books is to read that he is "stubborn". This applies only that he need a "consistent" hand for his extent hunting passion, that show him his limits by a loving education and allowing him drains of his passion.

The origins of the Irish setter are relatively young, although they go back to the early 18th century. This setter became known without a doubt in Ireland in the 18th century as they were worked for the work before the shot.Although the Irish setter (beginning of 19th century) was comparatively rare, he quickly gained in popularity. As the Irish Red setter Club was founded in 1882 in Dublin, he was considered by many for the single Irish setter. From that day on, the number of the Irish setter grew, while decreased the number of red and white setter.By the end of the 19th century, very many red setter were exported and bred outside Ireland. He is now commonplaced in Britain, Europe and America as in Ireland. Some owners came to the view that the Irish setter is more a beautiful lovers dog as a useful hunting companion.

Anyway, the Irish Kennel Club is convinced that the existence of a serious field check is to be requested from the Irish Red setters.

The Irish Red setter has been developed to a robust, healthy and intelligent dog over the years, who owns an excellent ability to work and great stamina.
